I obtained an Honors Degree in Psychology at the University of Pretoria in 1986 and though it was my desire at the time to proceed to a Masters and practice as a Psychologist, life did not work out as planned. It was over two decades later that the United States gave me the opportunity to further my studies in the field I am so passionate about. I completed a Masters degree in Counseling in 2012 at Dallas Baptist University. I've worked, and am still working, as a counselor, however, on this site, I will not practice in that role. As for my training and experience in matters of the faith. I was fortunate to have been born at a time and place where you received 12 years of Bible education at church as well as at School. On top of that, I was given a father who is not only a great and committed pastor, but also a walking Bible encyclopedia. I had 'internet' long before internet existed, as he was always at hand to answer our questions re matters of the faith. He also took his responsibility to train his children in the ways of the Lord seriously, adding to all the other training I was already receiving. So much for the head knowledge, as for experience, that comes from a 5+ decades  walk with the Lord.

In summary, my qualifications to be a coach are 4 years of studies in Psychology, 2 further in Counseling, years of experience as a Counselor, and a life time of study in human behavior, change, and the ways of the Lord.
